Today marks the official Winter Solstice and is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, with the fewest hours of daylight. For our Human Venture community, it is a season where we pause and make time for personal reflections.
This year, we asked members of the community, “What does the Winter Solstice mean to you, your learning, or your involvement with the Human Venture?”.
We were moved and inspired by the many thoughtful submissions. As one Associate wrote,
“The solstice reminds us of the power of inquiry to illuminate mysteries, moving us beyond superficial correlations or mythical explanations toward deeper, warranted understanding.”
Read what our Associates and other community members are thinking about on this darkest day of the year, which is also the eve of the emerging light.
We hope that you will take a few minutes to consider these questions for yourself and add your own thoughts to the message board.
On behalf of all of us, we wish you a happy solstice.
Warmly,
